Hello! I'm De Yuan the baker behind 'De Cookie Jar'!
I am a Diploma in Applied Food Science and Nutrition graduate from Temasek Polytechnic (2010). So you can be assured of safe and yummy cookies!
Besides having knowledge on food science and nutrition, I had the benefit of doing my internship in 2009 with U.S Wheat Associates for 4 months in Thailand, Bangkok.
Whilst interning, I attended various baking courses conducted by U.S Wheat Associates with participants from all over the world. The courses included the Cookie & Cracker Technology Course (3weeks), Baking Science & Technology Course (6weeks), Vietnam Bakers Education Course (2weeks) and Overseas Varietal Analysis program (1week).
My internship with U.S Wheat gave me intensive hands-on training and knowledge on a wide variety of baked products. This exponentially increased my interest for baking!
After graduating, I have decided to let everyone get a taste(pun intended) of what I have learnt! :D
